Ruth Curran has been appointed managing partner of executive resourcing firm Merc Partners.
Curran, who has been with the firm for the last 16 years, is also currently vice chair of the international executive search network IIC Partners, which has 48 offices across 34 countries, including Merc in Ireland.
“This appointment is a critical step in our strategy to enhance our client-focused, high performance culture in order to grow our executive search business and leadership services in a globally competitive environment,” said outgoing managing partner Barry O’Connor. “ Ruth has all the attributes to be successful in this role”.
O’Connor will continue as a partner with the Merc Partners team.

Curran has a BComm from University College, Galway (NUIG) and an MBS from UCD’s Smurfit Graduate School of Business. She is a fellow of the Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (FCCA).
